Iowa Regular Baptist Camp welcomed Chaplain Manning Brown, director of Regular Baptist Chaplaincy, and his wife, Jennifer, during a seniors retreat in August. Nearly 50 senior adults attended the camp, located on the shore of Clear Lake in Ventura, Iowa.

Brown spoke during six sessions over the four days of the retreat. In addition to presenting the Regular Baptist Chaplaincy ministry, he spoke on lessons in leadership, taken from the book of Nehemiah, and on a Biblical perspective of core values.

“It was a wonderful time of making new friends,” Brown says. “There were lots of good questions about chaplains and how they minister. Jennifer [pictured] especially enjoyed talking with the wives. Travel was a favorite topic.” In addition to sharing time together in worship, the seniors enjoyed many outdoor and indoor activities in the camp’s beautiful setting.

Attendees took an offering to provide scholarships for military chaplains who are either getting ready to deploy or are returning from a deployment to attend camp for free with their families. Chaplains interested in attending the camp may contact the camp for information.
