The key to the success of any endeavor is training. And ministering as a chaplain is no different. In military chaplaincy, that training includes ministry in austere and combat environments.

Air National Guard chaplains Jeff Bartz and Seth Johnson, along with other religious affairs teams from across the Air Force, participated in training at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Vermont.

“The course covers avoiding dangerous situations when possible, how to provide first aid and evacuate their chaplain from a hot situation,” says Senior Master Sgt. Ethan Thibault in an article on nationalguard.mil. “It exposes chaplains and assistants to training they don’t normally receive and just gives them better security awareness in any environment.”

Regular Baptist Chaplaincy, a ministry of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches, endorses nearly 100 chaplains serving in military, institutional, and community service environments.
