Chaplain Stan Beach Update

CAPT Stan Beach, CHC, USN (Ret.), has battled a long-standing wound from his days with the Marines in Vietnam. Infection in his leg has caused intense pain as the bone has been collapsing. On 24 July the doctors amputated Ch Beach’s leg above the knee. We rejoice with the Beaches in that there is no infection above the amputation, and the doctors are very satisfied with the results of the surgery. Stan has already had the stitches removed. He has an appointment with the prosthetic department this week. Please continue to pray for the Beaches through the recovery period.

Rachel Stumme

Last week Rachel Stumme, daughter of Ch Jack and Cindy Stumme, had surgery following a serious bicycle accident. The doctor said he was amazed she had not torn the femoral artery open and was still alive. He has recommended six weeks of non-activity, which will be very difficult for this active little girl. Please pray for all the Stumme family during this time of recuperation, and rejoice with them for God’s protection.
