Teens at the GARBC Conference enjoyed a comprehensive tour of the Indiana Statehouse on Wednesday afternoon. The tour was led by GARBC Chaplain Pam Russel and her colleague Matt Barnes. Pam has an incredible and vital role in ministering to the lawmakers of Indiana. Five of Indiana’s seven top elected officials are women. Pam is privileged to not only pray with and for these women but also to lead a Bible study on the grounds.

The students experienced a-behind-the-scenes tour of the governor’s office, the senate and house of representatives, and the state’s supreme court. The tour ended with a time of prayer and singing in the Statehouse chapel. The young people played and sang “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” and were challenged not only to pray for lawmakers but to contemplate how they can influence others now and in the future with the good news of Jesus Christ.
