The Sunday before Veterans Day is an opportunity to honor the veterans in our churches. Chaplain John Murdoch, director of Regular Baptist Chaplaincy Ministries, is frequently asked for suggestions and ideas on how to do this. There are a variety of ways to recognize veterans, from asking them to stand to be recognized, to creating a PowerPoint presentation that displays their pictures, their dates of service, and the branches in which they served. Some churches have made bulletin inserts giving the same information but without the pictures. Some show a video as well.
