Pam Russell, endorsed by the GARBC Chaplaincy Commission as a lay chaplain for women’s jail ministry and author of the Almond Tree material, regularly receives testimonials like this one: “I came believing I had a disease and there was nothing I could do about it. But I don’t have a disease. I made bad choices and by God’s grace, I won’t use drugs again. I don’t have a disease, but I have a choice. Learning that has made such a big difference in my life.”
