Margelia McClure, Chaplain’s Wife, with the Lord

mcclure2_inlineWASHINGTON, Iowa—Margelia L. McClure, wife of retired pastor and chaplain Dr. Daniel McClure, died early Friday morning, Oct. 7. She was 69.

Marge served alongside her husband in military chaplaincy and pastoral ministry. They were pastor and wife in Montana, Florida, and Iowa, including Prairie Flower Baptist Church, Washington, Iowa. A resident of Washington, Iowa, since 1995, Marge was also a manager at U.S. Bank in Washington until her retirement. Her passion in life was working with youth. After retiring, Marge became a member of First Baptist Church, Yarmouth, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dan; two children, Pam Thomas and Shawn; and three grandchildren.

A service will be held Oct. 14, 10:00 a.m., at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.
