Ch. (CPT) Peter Klotzbach of the Florida National Guard conducted a chapel service with soldiers while deployed in St. Petersburg, Florida, in support of recovery operations in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. Since deploying last week, Klotzbach has not only conducted chapel services but has also counseled soldiers and their families, many of whom were affected by the storm.

Klotzbach, who lives near Fort Myers, Florida, had to leave his family when the governor of Florida activated him for service. By the time the eye of the storm reached near his home, the storm was a Category 2, inflicting only minimal damage to his home.  Klotzbach is the assistant pastor at Peace River Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Regular Baptist Ministries has established relief funds designed to meet the needs of Regular Baptist churches and their members affected by Hurricane Irma, as well as Hurricane Harvey in Houston. Donate online at BaptistBuildersclub.org/disaster-relief.
