Iowa National Guard Support Chaplain

Chaplain (MAJ) Michael Crawford, IAARNG has been activated and is serving in Boone, Iowa ministering to Iowa National Guard soldiers who are returning from deployments and with soldiers who are preparing to deploy.  In a recent visit Ch Murdoch was able to observe Ch Crawford as he ministered to the troops and was able to get a briefing on Chaplain Crawford’s ministry.  Counseling and travel are a large part of his ministry along with ministering to families left behind.  Suicide is a great concern and the Chaplain is a key element in meeting the needs of soldiers during these difficult days of mobilization and deployment.  As a Fellowship of churches, we can be thankful our chaplains are fully equipped to meet the needs of the military through the power of the Lord.
