“God with Us” – Isaiah 7:13–14 (Advent Day 4)

Emmanuel—“God with us.” Ponder the love of God, the Creator of the universe coming to us, as one of us, yet divine. He reveals His love for us as a love that is not distant and passive, but active and present. Pray that you will better understand and comprehend the love of God that came to us in the Babe and that your love for the unsaved would be active and present, pointing to Christ.

This post is part of a series of reflections that take us through the Advent season. They are intended to help us set our minds on the true meaning of Christmas. Manning Brown, director of Regular Baptist Chaplaincy, compiled these reflections for his church while he was stationed in Germany.
